THIS WEEKS MATCHUP:
Vs. UCLA

Game Information
This Saturday, November 29nd, at 4:30 PT PM, The USC Trojans will play their final regular season game of the 2025 against their cross-town rival, the UCLA Bruins.
USC is encouraging all fans to do a "cardinal out" so please wear all cardinal to the game.
Opponent Notes
UCLA statistically is by far the worst team we will play all year. They are close to dead last in almost every category: run defense, run offense, pass offense, third down stops and explosive plays. UCLA does not have a head coach as they fired Deshaun Foster at the beginning of the year, they have an interim head coach, an interim defensive coordinator and a first time play caller.
There is simply no excuse as to why we shouldn't destroy this team. The only reasonable excuse is that it is a crosstown rivalry and crazy stuff happens during rivalry week.
The key to stopping an upset in a rivalry game is getting ahead early and giving your opponent no hope or any reason to believe that they have a chance to win.
I expect USC to win, but never count out your enemies.
Keys to Victory
1.) No turnovers
2.) Score fast and early
Christian's Prediction:

45 - 20

PREVIOUS GAME TAKEAWAYS:

Previous Game
Last Saturday, on November 22nd, USC was eliminated from Playoff contention after suffering a loss to #7 Oregon with a score of 42-27. This was always going to be a a hard game but with the injuries we had and how well Oregon played, we never really had a chance. We must wait another year to seek our first Playoff appearance but for now, we have to go out and beat the brakes out of UCLA to end the season 9-3.

Said on instagram:
There were no postgame thoughts on instagram for our game vs Oregon, but all we said in the caption was "We really shot ourselves in the foot. Never seen a worse special teams performance in our life. We were ten point underdogs for a reason. Now we gotta beat UCLA, finish 9-3 and move on with the #1 recruiting class"
improvements to make:
- Fire the Special Teams coach
- Be more disciplined
- Defense needs to be better all around

2026 Football Recruiting:

USC is currently ranked #1 in the 2026 high school recruiting rankings per 247 Sports. They are very back and forth with Georgia and it will be that way until the end. According to On3 and Rivals, USC is also ranked #1. It will be important for The Trojans to hold on to all of these elite recruits in order to take the next step as a program.
Top committed players:

Mark Bowman - 4⭐️ TE

Breaking Recruiting News:
- National signing day is coming up (Dec 3-5) and USC is looking to maintain the #1 class
- USC is looking to flip 4 Star Wide receiver Kayden-Dixon Wyatt from Ohio State
Season Prediction: 9 - 3

There is a lot on the line for USC in the 2025 College Football Season. Although it is extremely unlikely that Lincoln Riley will be fired, he is still on the hot seat. USC has the chance to land the #1 High School recruiting class for the first time since 2004, but that can all go away if we do not win games. The fan base is rallying one more time to cheer for this team, but the coliseum could be empty by week 5. A lot of pressure for a team that is not ranked and has a fan base with no idea what to expect. The main goal for this team has always been to clinch a College Football Playoff. This goal (many may disagree) is actually realistic with what weapons and coaches the team has. All Lincoln Riley needs to do to revive this once dominant program is to lead us to a playoff. The way that is going to happen is if the offense RUNS THE BALL, the defense holds offenses to less than 20 ppg, and Jayden Maiava delivers as an above average QB.
